Frequently Asked Questions
How is your bed and breakfast different than a hotel? We offer guests an at-home atmosphere with plenty of areas to relax, visit, and enjoy the scenery. Guest areas include living room with a big screen TV and movies, parlor and fireplace, dining room, covered porch, and a game room. Room rates include complimentary refreshments and full country breakfast unmatched by hotels.
What are check-in/out times? Check-in is 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. If you need to check in at a different time, please call ahead to let us know. Check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
What time is breakfast? We serve at 8:30, but coffee is always ready earlier. Let us know the night before if you need to eat at a different time so we can arrange accordingly.
What if I have dietary restrictions? Please let us know in advance if you have food allergies or need vegetarian or diabetic meals.
Do you serve dinner? Dinner is not included in our standard rates. We do serve dinners with our group package deals such as Ladies Retreats.
Where can we eat dinner? Our menu book lists local restaurants with a map to their locations. A complete restaurant list is in the Sedalia Visitors' Guide located in each room.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is not allowed inside or on the porch by the main
entrance. Anyone who smokes inside will be charged a $200
cleaning fee.
Access
Where can we park? You
can park anywhere on the gravel or by the light pole. Garage parking is
only available for bicycles and motorcycles.
What rooms in the B&B can we use? Guest areas include the family room, parlor, dining area, lower level hallway, main level restroom and refreshment bar. Outside there is a game room and wrap-around porch. Kitchen access is not permitted.
Where can we get Internet access or check our e-mail? We have wireless, high-speed Internet throughout the B&B. We also have a guest office on the second floor with phone, fax for incoming and copying, and desk with a computer.
Children and Pets
Do you allow
children? Families with children six years and older are welcome.
We have toys and games inside,
and a recreation room with outdoor games. For our young guests, we offer cereal,
peanut butter toast,
pancake people, milk, juice and fruit.
Do you allow guests to bring pets? We don't allow pets at the B&B.
Do you have pets? We have farm cats and two dogs, but they stay outside and in the barns.
Do you offer horseback riding? We only offer overnight boarding services for guests who bring their own horses.
